Wildearthproject Bushcraft Camps for adults 2022

men practicing archery

****** Dont worry you can start the second year and then do the first year afterwards, there no problem with that, all these weekends are drop in for anyone to come to ********

This two year course will give you an advanced knowledge of your place in nature, you will discover what your own personal medicine is and what gifts and talents you want to bring forth to the world and to this tribe and planet. We will cover a huge amount of subjects giving you a huge tool box and encyclopedia of knowledge, so you can go on to specialise in any of these skills as a career or just as a hobby. There will be 8 weekends of practical and hands-on experiential learning, expanding our capacity to face new challenges and push through our fears of the wild and the unknown frontiers of the wilderness. Our minds and spirits will be purified and strengthened and in peace by the end of the year, with a feeling of overwhelming bliss and belonging, to the people on the course, to all of humanity and to all the other species living with us on this earth  .

These techniques have been passed down from Tom Brown JNR who was taught by Stalking Wolf , a Lipian Apache Elder and great Shaman. I have been lucky to have been studying with him for 8 years . The skills have been purified down over a period of 70 years , when Stalking Wolf walked all over the Americas, refining them down so they can be understood easily and transform us back into Indigenous ways of life.

It's  a school that is deeply woven with indigenous wisdom and spiritual work. We put a great emphasis on the spirit skills that are also completely aligned with the physical skills, you cannot have one without the other we believe, that's how these teachings have been passed down .

These skills activate character traits of self reliance, confidence, knowledge, empathy, strength and wisdom. Once these skills and wisdom are within you , no one can take them away from you, they hold a great power which can never be undone.

WildEarth wants to reunite the world with their birthright which is to be able to live comfortably with the earth, plants , trees and all the animals within it.
The study of paleolithic technology and history is gaining popularity all over the world as we see our earth and ecosystems being destroyed in front of our eyes, its time to wake up and merge the 21 st century with the ancient , bridging a gap and knowledge which is being lost at a pace unprecedented in the entire history of humankind.

Location:

Scout training
The way of the Scout has a huge emphasis on routines of invisibility, stalking, stealth movement and camouflage. There will be night games and wars beware!  The scouts were trained to get in and out of any situation, and most likely out of life threatening ones, they were masters of their environment, never leaving a trace, not even a foot print, shrouded in mystery and in spirit. They took off to live in lands that no other human could survive in . We will enquire and seek to harness this knowledge and wisdom, to merge ourselves even deeper into oneness, where we are moving as silently as an owl and aware as a wolf.

These are some of my favourite skills to learn and harness, they take us into deep nature connection, keeping us on our tiptoes, aware, silent and connected with Spirit.

BAITING - This is a subject of great art , science and deep nature connection , we will go over some of the most important tricks for baiting spiritually and physically . Testimonials :

“I found the workshop  led by Johnny eye opening and heartfelt. His technique of getting the group to be inside nature and switch their minds to tune into the natural world was powerful.  He has a good way with people making one feel relaxed and allows the group to smile, storytell and interact. He managed to impart knowledge without lecturing.

"I was very glad to have listened to my gut on this one!

The skills and insights I learnt at Wildearthproject occurred in a series of such unforgettable moments.

Whether at the coast or by a woodland, every weekend was located in such pristine and beautiful nature which really sets foundations for letting go of all the baggage. So prepare to be nourished in every way!

Initially I was interested in learning to identify plants and forage food, but the weekends turned out to be so, so much more. Johnny walks you through the whole process of plant identification, including processing and sorting, taking you on a journey peppered with valuable insights about the plant and animal kingdoms, showing an impressive background knowledge about medicinal and historical uses of plants. Getting to know the variety of plants with all five senses really restore a sense of child-like wonder for nature.

The survival skills we walked through were extensive and multifaceted, from stalking to making fire with only primitive tools and what was around us. I was very glad to have finally been able to knap a flint arrowhead without sustaining any injuries thanks to Johnny sharing his techniques!

Whereas other courses may explore either spirituality or bushcraft, Johnny links down to earth, practical and hands-on bushcraft skills with spiritual unfoldment which he helps cultivate through encouraging awareness and sensitivity in every activity, from sit-spot meditations in the morning to storytelling by the fire at night.

Beyond the skills, what really makes this course stand out from other bushcraft courses is the emphasis on deepening connection to nature and rediscovering gratitude. In the workshops, Johnny teaches actionable practises which can be introduced into a daily practice to help with the stresses of modern life, which is just one way the teachings can be applied. This is why the experiences go far beyond the weekends and if integrated properly, can be enormously transformative.

Johnny creates a very open space for people to express without judgement and shows great kindness, playfulness and sensitivity to match. This really allows everyone to relax and be themselves. Because of this, it has been so rewarding returning to these workshops since making such wholesome connections with the others on this journey, which really provides a sense of purpose and family.

Even though it was only bushcraft skills I expected to learn, it is everything else I did not expect that goes into making this course truly unforgettable, and I am very grateful to have had Johnny as a teacher.

All in all, attending Wildearthproject workshops in 2021 was the best decision I made all year and I am really looking forward to the next one!

Liam"
